Our Morning At Urgent Care

An amazing way to let 45 minutes pass.
My lower back may disagree on that though
Emma is sick. She has a fever and yesterday she slept a bunch. She refused food and hardly talked at all which is abnormal for her. She is a chatter box! Her glands in her throat were swollen and she capped off the night with a good puke. [Thankfully she only had juice in her stomach since she puked all over my leg]
No NACC appointments available today, they tell me to go to Urgent Care [Only after informing me that Hand, Food, and Mouth disease was going around. Goodie.] After Emma’s 1st ever throat culture swab, a nap, two mini meltdowns, and 3 hours of hanging out, we got results [Emma has a URI] and a prescription to fill.
More importantly [besides getting my daughter back to good health of course], I over came what I thought was going to be a stressful situation. Two kids, one sick and a nursing one month old. Yes there was some stressful moments [they both pooped while there] I was able to handle it. I was even able to enjoy my children. I comforted my daughter, I nursed my son, and even while sick Emma loved on her brother [from a distance, no need to pass the germs on after all].
I’m a mom of two. Something I’m still surprised by and something I’m still getting used to. It’s a beautiful thing though, being a mom of two.

Sometimes it's hard but being a mom of 2 usually works itself out. I had to make 3 ER trips over the weekend by myself – one for each kid. I thought it was going to be excruciating, and it was only mildly painful. Sometimes they surprise you.
