Pass Me A Hammer

When I married my husband I knew that I was marrying the Navy. I understand that I wasn’t just becoming Justin’s wife I was becoming a Navy wife. Trust me, there is an unwritten contract with that.

Military Wives have to deal with a lot of BS! I mean a lot. The worst just happened to hit today though.

I was so excited cause yesterday I got my 72 hour notice that my husband was coming home. Yes! Hubby is going to be home! I was so excited. Key word was because then this morning I got 24 hour notice! Even better!

I mean since it was really short notice and I was in another city for two days to see a friend and get my hair done my husband only had clean sheets to look forward to really. No biggie cause he was going to be home!!!

Key word againwas

Yeah, was excited. Was happy. Until I find out that my husband’s plane wasn’t leave for a few more days. Yeah, a few more days. Now it’s beyond 72 hour notice. Actually we have no official notice anymore. Although, some of the guys already left, have almost a day layover somewhere, before flying to California. How they get home from there isn’t confirmed yet.

So yeah…who knows when Hubby comes home. Bummer.

They are trying to get the guys in any flight the can. Cilvilan or military. Why? Why didn’t they charter a plan like normal?

Here is what makes me mad. The military has a contract with ATA airlines. They fly tons of their guys with them to where ever. ATA went filed for bankruptcy. On April 2nd.

April 2nd. A – PUH – RUL 2ND! Why didn’t they start finding new flights right away? Hullo! Wives and children are waiting for their loved ones!

I was soo close to being with my hubby….

So pass me a hammer so I can build my bridge.
